Skilled care nursing homes fill a special need. They care for people who need health supervision and daily attention, but not a full range of hospital services. Young and old alike are served by skilled care nursing homes. A skilled care nursing home is a health care facility that provides nursing services (24 hours a day) for people who need it per the physician’s orders. Lawrence Hall has an emphasis on living to help a person maintain dignity and independence and whenever possible, to learn to care for him/herself.

Lawrence Hall Nursing Home is designed to promote the health and safety of patients, staff and the public. Grounds are maintained to provide fresh air, exercise, and sunshine. The patient’s rooms are comfortable, attractive, with windows, access to a hallway, attached toilet facilities with call lights, grab bars, etc. There are wide hallways with handgrip bars allowing passage of two wheelchairs. There are two lobbies and three dining areas conveniently located for use as a gathering place for meals, entertainment, and a place to display crafts and relax. A chapel is provided for spiritual needs.

Confidential medical records that include individual care plans and case histories are kept at Lawrence Hall. Lawrence Hall maintains a full health team qualified in specific areas to meet the needs of the resident. Lawrence Hall is a county-owned non-profit facility in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. It is licensed for 189 beds.
